Seeing Farida’s hairstyle, Gulzar had given her advice
Once Farida had arrived on the sets of the film with an attractive hairstyle. Then Gulzar had instructed her. Seeing the actress, Gulzar called her and said, ‘If you look like this, what will I say to Hema ji?’ Farida, this role is different, go remove this wig and wear a braid. You have to wear a simple braid.’

She told that before shooting a song in Goa, Gulzar had said, ‘Today is your song, Mumtaz Mat Ban Jana, Extra Fool and this and that…people praise that you speak dialogues naturally, you have to sing the same way. She said that I was waiting to do ‘thumkas’, but he clearly refused. This song was ‘Bechara Dil Kya Kare’.
