Fariq Zakir Naik: Fariq Zakir Naik, son of controversial Islamic preacher and India’s wanted fugitive Zakir Naik, recently gave an interview to a Pakistani YouTuber. In this interview, Fariq Zakir Naik answered many questions including his father Zakir Naik leaving India.
Fariq Zakir Naik was asked under what circumstances his father left India? Fariq said, ‘Our family was not in India at the time of this controversy. It was being said in the media that Zakir Naik fled from India but this is not true. We were not in India at that time. If we were in India and had fled from here then it would have been called fleeing. We were in Mecca at that time and this controversy started a day before Eid.’
How many people were converted to Islam?
During this time, Fariq Zakir Naik also talked about the issue of conversion. He said, ‘While living in India, we used to tell people which organization they should join to accept Islam, but now after leaving, people from all over the world call us to accept Islam. We tell those people to join the local Islamic organization. I have converted two-three people to Islam so far. Many people are accepting Islam through Peace TV, the exact number of which is not known yet.’
‘There are more women’
Fariq Zakir Naik said that more women accept Islam than men and the main reason for this is that women are given a lot of respect in Islam. Women have to face a lot in the civilization of western countries and because of this they are getting more inclined towards Islam.
