fastag new rules if you don’t follow these rules your fastag will be blacklisted

Fastag Rules: The facility of electronic toll system i.e. Fastag was started in India in the year 2014. At that time, Fastag was used only at a few places in India. But gradually it was made mandatory all over India by the National Highway Authority of India.

Now everyone has to use Fastag to pay toll tax at toll plazas. Now there are five important rules regarding Fastag in India. Everyone has to follow them. If someone does not follow these rules then his Fastag will be blacklisted. Let us tell you about these five rules.

Five year old fast tag will have to be replaced

According to the rules set for Fastag, if your Fastag is 5 years old, then you will have to change that Fastag. And in return you will have to get a new Fastrack. For this, you will have to complete the KYC process. That is, you will have to login on the portal of the bank with which your Fast Track is connected.

After that you will have to upload the RC of the vehicle and upload photos from the front and side of the vehicle and also upload your ID card. After this you will have to pay the fixed fee. After this a new Fastag will be issued to you

Fastag will have to be installed on the windshield itself

Generally people paste the Fastag anywhere on the vehicle. Many people do not paste it at all. But if you do this, then the burden on your pocket may increase. Because according to the new rules, you have to paste the Fastag on the windshield itself. Because if you do not paste the Fastag on the windshield, then you may have to pay double toll tax.

KYC will be done again after three years

According to the rules of Fastag, if your Fastag is 3 years old, then you have to get its re-KYC done. That is, you have to get KYC done again. The process is the same which you will have to do to change your Fastag after 5 years. For this, now you have time till 31 October 2024. Even after this, if you do not complete the re-KYC, then your Fastag will be blacklisted.

90 days time for new vehicle

If you have bought a new car, then you are given 90 days to register the new vehicle. That is, within this period, you will have to upload the registration number and chassis number of that new vehicle. That is, you will have to enter the details of the new vehicle in it. 90 days are given for this. Even after this, if the process is not completed, then you get an extra 30 days.

Mobile number link is mandatory

One important thing about Fastag is that you have to link your mobile number with it. When you buy Fastag, your number is linked. But many times people change their number or the number gets disconnected. If this happens then you have to link the number again with the portal.
