Fastag Rules: Fastag sticker is necessary for any car or four-wheeler, if you pass through any toll plaza without Fastag, you have to pay double the fine. That means if the tax at a toll plaza is Rs 200 then you will have to pay Rs 400. Many rules have been made for using and purchasing Fastag. You can make Fastag from about 32 banks. Today we are telling you about the cashback rules of Fastag.
Who gets cashback?
Making a Fastag sticker costs around Rs 400 to Rs 500, of which Rs 200 is refundable. After making Fastag, you have to recharge it, without balance you can get stuck at the toll plaza. Now let’s talk about the rule of cashback, in fact it has been told by the National Highway Authority of India i.e. NHAI that if someone’s house is within an area of 10 km from the toll plaza, then in such a situation he is given cashback. This cashback is credited to Fastag itself.
When Fastag was launched, 2.5 percent cashback was offered by NHAI to promote it. Apart from this, now many UPI apps also offer various types of cashback offers on Fastag recharge. Today almost everyone uses Fastag and pays their toll tax only through it. This is a much easier and time saving system than before.
Some changes are being made in the rules regarding Fastag, in which now no one can use more than one Fastag. If you have two Fastags in your name, one of them will be deactivated. It has now been made mandatory to have Fastag KYC. Without this Fastag will not work. The government has said that soon the satellite toll system will be implemented, in which money will be automatically deducted from the account as soon as you pass through the toll plaza.
