Now free entry into Jawahar Park, which was built at a cost of several crores under Smart City, will be banned from May 24. Smart City and Horticulture Department has fixed the fee for this. From May 24, people will be able to get entry only under the fee system. With the implementation of this system, the movement of unruly elements will be stopped and people coming and going will also be monitored.
Let us tell you that this was the arrangement of the garden department even before the beautification of the park. In this regard, a joint plan has been prepared by the Smart City Management and the Garden Department, in which it has been decided that the park will open from 5 am to 8:30 am and outsiders will get entry during the same period. For this, the fee for staying in the park for three hours at any time of the day will be Rs 20 per person. If you stay for more time than this, the fee will be double. A proper receipt will be given for this at the gate. The time of entry will be recorded. The receipt will be checked at the time of return.
If the time exceeds three hours, an additional fee will be charged. Apart from this, the monthly pass fee has been fixed at five hundred rupees per month. This will be applicable to those people who come here regularly for a walk. This arrangement will come into effect from May 24. In this regard, Smart City Nodal Officer and Municipal Corporation Chief Engineer Suresh Chandra said that this arrangement will control the people who come to the park unnecessarily and the unruly elements. Along with this, surveillance and security arrangements will also be implemented from May 24.

Let us tell you that the park prepared by Smart City has been decorated in a modern manner. It has facilities like walking track, walking mat, yoga center, swings, exercise machines, open gym, fountains etc.
Crowd before inauguration, swings started breaking
Till now this park has not been inaugurated due to elections. Due to this there is a crowd here throughout the day without any hindrance. Due to this many incidents of theft of goods have been reported there, while there have also been reports of swings etc. getting broken due to the crowd. This is the reason why now this fee and monitoring system is being implemented without inauguration, so that security is maintained.
