Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Monday recorded the statement of a witness in the case of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s alleged sexual harassment of female wrestlers. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Priyanka Rajput recorded the statement of the witness. Also, the matter has been fixed for October 19 for further proceedings.

On May 10, the court had ordered framing of sexual harassment and other charges against Singh in the case registered on the complaint of six female wrestlers. Said that there was enough evidence against him. Earlier, the court had directed to frame charges against Singh under sections 354, 354 A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The magistrate had framed charges on May 21 after Singh pleaded innocent.
