Talking about this, Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay said that out of 2,950 trains, about 83 percent of the festival special trains are for passengers from eastbound states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Assam. Upadhyay said that cities like Barauni, Samastipur, Saharsa, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Jaynagar, Darbhanga, Jogbani, Patna, Kolkata, Guwahati, Howrah, Muzaffarpur, Katihar, Tatanagar and Lucknow are some of the popular destinations of these special trains running from the national capital. are the destination. Upadhyay says that Northern Railway will also run unreserved special trains on a timely basis to deal with the crowd.
