Kerala Ambulance Viral Video: A video from Kerala is becoming increasingly viral on social media. It can be seen in this video that the car driver is not giving way to the ambulance despite continuous sirens and horns. A fine of Rs 2.5 lakh has been imposed on the car owner for this inhuman behaviour. Apart from this, the driving license of the car driver has been cancelled. This video viral on social media is said to be from Thrissur, Kerala. However, this incident happened on 7th November.

The ambulance driver has shared the video on social media. In the dashcam footage, the ambulance is seen chasing a silver Maruti Suzuki car for more than 2 minutes on a two-lane road, but the car driver is thwarting every attempt to overtake the ambulance. During this time, the horn and siren of the ambulance are continuously sounding, but the car driver is continuously ignoring it.

Many allegations against the car owner…

Now the officials identified the car driver from his number plate. At the same time, the car owner has been accused of blocking the way for the ambulance, obstructing the discharge of the functions of the authority empowered by the Motor Vehicles Act and not having a pollution control certificate.

What does the law say about not giving way to an ambulance?

Let us tell you that according to Section 196E of the Motor Vehicles Act, not giving way to an ambulance can lead to imprisonment of up to 6 months or a fine of up to Rs 10,000 or both.
