Goods worth several lakhs of rupees were burnt in a fire in a plastic product warehouse in Gular Road area of Delhi Gate area of Aligarh metropolis. Four people were trapped on the top floor when a fire broke out due to short circuit in a three-storey warehouse. The fire brigade staff, which came upon receiving the news, took them out safely. Within a short time, the entire building was engulfed in flames and an atmosphere of chaos was created in the area. Somehow the fire was controlled.
Vipin Jain, resident of Gular Road, has a shop in the name of Kamlesh Sales Agency. Cleaning products like broom, wiper etc. are sold in it. There is also a warehouse in the three-storey building above the shop below. He himself lives with his family on the top floor. On January 10, around 12 o’clock in the night, suddenly a fire broke out in the shop below due to short circuit.
Within a short time, the warehouse was engulfed in flames and on top of that, the family was also trapped. When people saw smoke rising, they informed the police and family. But then Vipin Jain, wife Monica Jain, daughter Divya and son Daksh were surrounded by smoke. On information, seven police and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The employees rescued all these family members safely by taking them out on the way to the neighbour’s terrace.
Then they went to the neighbor’s terrace using a ladder and from there entered Vipin’s house on the terrace, only then the family could come out. After this, efforts to extinguish the fire continued for about two hours. Then the fire could be controlled. The loss in this fire is estimated to be several lakhs. According to CO I Abhay Pandey, the cause of the fire has been said to be short circuit.
