Agra: Fire broke out in AC repairing shop

A fire broke out in an AC repairing shop in Dev Palace Market located in Rajpur Chungi (Sadar) of Tajnagari Agra on Monday morning. Within a moment the shop became a ball of fire. Three fire engines arrived on information. While extinguishing the fire, two firefighters got burnt when the AC compressor exploded and a passerby was injured by a piece of the compressor. There was chaos. The fire could be controlled after an hour. There is a possibility of fire due to short circuit.
Shops have been built on the ground floor, first and second floors of Dev Palace located in Rajpur Chungi. Yogendra Sharma, resident of Jangjit Nagar, has an AC repairing shop on the ground floor. People saw flames coming out of the shop at 7 am on Sunday morning. After some time, explosions started happening. This spread panic. Gave this information to Yogendra Sharma. On this the shopkeepers and other people came. Started trying to extinguish the fire. But, there was no benefit.
On receiving the information, Sadar police and fire brigade reached the police station. Chief Fire Officer Devendra Singh said that firefighters were trying to extinguish the fire. Then an AC compressor burst. Firemen Sundarlal and Gajendra Kumar got burnt. A passerby, Ramesh Chandra (60), resident of Prem Nagar, was injured after being hit by a piece of compressor on his head. The injured fireman and passerby were immediately admitted to the hospital.

The entire shop was destroyed in the fire. Everything from AC repairing items to parts were kept in it. Apart from this, the compressor and cylinders were also burnt. The shop owner talked about loss worth lakhs. The Chief Fire Officer said that the fire was likely caused by a short circuit. Is being investigated.
