The accident took place on Wednesday morning in Mohammadi Kotwali area of Lakhimpur Kheri. While digging on the bank of the pond, a teenager and four children of village Bichpari were buried due to soil collapse. Hearing the noise, the villagers gathered and took the children out. Everyone was immediately brought to CHC Mohammadi. From where three children have been referred to District Hospital Shahjahanpur. His condition is said to be serious.
Shivani (16) son Jagpal, Ragini (12) Devi daughter Pramod Kumar, Rangoli daughter Haripal, Kshama Devi (8) daughter Suresh and Ankit (7) son Ramadhar, residents of Bichpuri village of Mohammadi Kotwali, found mud near the pond outside the village on Wednesday morning. Went to get it. It is being told that all of them were digging soil on the banks of the pond. At the same time the bank of the pond collapsed and the children were buried in the mud.
Hearing the screams of the children, the villagers present at a distance came. Everyone was hurriedly taken out and sent to CHC Mohammadi. After first aid at CHC, seriously injured Ragini, Shivani and Rangoli have been referred to Shahjahanpur District Hospital. Ankit and Kshama were treated at CHC. Their condition is said to be out of danger.
