Flipkart-Amazon: Nowadays, sales are being organized on the shopping platforms of many e-commerce companies including Flipkart and Amazon. In these festival sales, many great offers and discounts are available on every platform, but it is often seen that wrong goods are delivered to the customer.
In such a situation, not taking action in the matter becomes very costly for the companies. Something similar has happened with Flipkart. Delivering wrong goods and not taking action on complaints has proved costly for Flipkart. Now the company will have to pay not just one or two but ten times the fine.
Bluetooth was ordered in 2021
Actually, Lalit Kumar, a customer living in Najafgarh area of Delhi, had ordered a Bluetooth headphone from Flipkart in 2021, which was delivered on 10 November 2021, but the customer opened his product box on 11 November, in which he received the Bluetooth headphone. Got wired headphones instead.
Lalit Kumar complained about this to Flipkart and demanded return and replacement of the product. Flipkart did not accept this demand of the customer. The company said that you have complained after 48 hours, hence your demand will not be accepted.
Heavy fine imposed
Customer Lalit Kumar requested and complained to Flipkart several times, but the company did not take any action. After that Lalit complained about it in the consumer forum. While hearing this case, the bench of Consumer Forum Chairman Suresh Kumar Gupta, Harshali Kaur and Ramesh Chandra Yadav imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on Flipkart and the company making those headphones.
We should also learn from this incident. Nowadays, customers are purchasing a lot of new things in the ongoing festival sale. In such a situation, if you also buy a product, open it as soon as possible after it is delivered and if possible, make a video while opening the box.
If there is any problem with your product, then immediately complain to the e-commerce company. If the company does not take any action despite repeated complaints, then you can lodge your complaint in the consumer forum.
