Gyanpur district administration has taken major action against former SP and Nishad Party MLA Vijay Mishra and his family. The district police attached buildings worth crores equipped with modern facilities in Prayagraj and New Delhi. This is the biggest action ever taken by the police against Vijay Mishra and his family. The total value of the seized property in both the districts is Rs 113 crore five lakh. Vijay Mishra had purchased these properties in the name of his wife, daughter, son-in-law and son.

There are 83 cases registered against powerful former MLA Vijay Mishra including murder, robbery, snatching, assault, property grabbing and rape. Presently he is serving sentence in a rape case in Agra jail. Here, the police is continuously taking action against his family and close ones. The police has been continuously confiscating his properties acquired through crime.

On March 15, in the court of District Magistrate Vishal Singh, Baghambari Home Institute Scheme Building No. 48 of Prayagraj, a three-storey building with modern facilities, which was being operated in the name of Saket Hospital. Order was given to confiscate it. The estimated cost of this building is Rs 35 crore five lakh. It was purchased by Vijay Mishra in the name of his son-in-law Harishankar Mishra.

The magistrate said that the former MLA is running it as a hospital to legalize his illegal money. Similarly, the District Magistrate has ordered a building equipped with modern facilities on the second floor of Copia Building, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi, whose estimated cost is Rs 70 crore and a building with modern facilities on the first floor of Anand Lok, New Delhi, whose cost is Rs 8 crore. Ordered to confiscate it. He had purchased the second floor of Kopiyan Building in Sarita Vihar, New Delhi in the name of his wife Ramlali Mishra, daughter Seema Mishra and son-in-law Harishankar Mishra.

At the same time, he had purchased the building of Anand Lok in the name of his son Vishnu Mishra. Under the orders of the District Magistrate’s court, the district police reached Prayagraj and New Delhi and attached both the properties with the help of the local police and administration. Additional Superintendent of Police Dr. Tejbir Singh said that after the order of the District Magistrate, property worth about Rs 113 crore with modern facilities has been confiscated after reaching Prayagraj and New Delhi. Such actions will continue in the future also in the context of crime control and tightening the noose on musclemen.
