Police have solved the mystery of the murder of a youth that took place on January 19 in Kashmiri Gate area of North District. The friend of the deceased has been arrested in this connection. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar. Actually, the deceased Pramod Kumar Shukla alias Guddu (40) wanted to have unnatural relations with the accused. Frustrated, Rajesh planned to murder Pramod and beat him in an inebriated state. Later, after kicking his private parts, they hit him on the head with stones. After this, he looted Rs 18500 from him and ran away. Police have arrested the accused from Patna Bihar. Police have recovered from the accused the mobile phone purchased with the looted money, Rs 12,500 of the looted amount, the bill for purchasing the shoes and mobile phone of the deceased.
Northern District Police Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar Meena said that on January 19, a blood-soaked body of a youth was found in DDA, Mori Gate Park. Apart from crushing his face, there were injury marks all over his body. The deceased could not be identified. The police registered a case of murder and started investigation. Meanwhile, apart from examining about 50 CCTV cameras, about 100 people were interrogated. After much effort, the deceased was identified as Pramod Kumar Shukla. Pramod’s family was a resident of village Rudrapur, Madhavgarh, Jalaun, UP. Pramod used to work with a businessman named Rakesh in Khoya Mandi of Khari Baoli area and slept in a nearby night shelter.
Police investigated with the help of technical surveillance. Meanwhile, from local intelligence, the police came to know that on the night of 17 January, Pramod was seen with his friend Rajesh. Investigation revealed that both of them had a fight that day. With the help of CDR, police caught accused Rajesh from Patna, Bihar on 26 January. He was brought to Delhi. During interrogation, Rajesh told that he also lived with Pramod in the night shelter. The accused wanted to have unnatural relations with her. On the night of 17 January, Pramod and Rajesh drank beer together. After this Pramod started forcing himself on her. In anger, Rajesh killed her and ran away.
