A case of rape with a 30-year-old civil defense volunteer woman has come to light in Khajuri Khas area of North-East Delhi. The woman has accused another volunteer who worked with her. He told that the accused took the woman to his house on the pretext of her birthday. There the incident was done by giving intoxicants. Later threatened to kill anyone for telling anything. On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case and arrested the accused Tausif Khan.
According to the police, the victim lives in North-East Delhi with her family. He is a volunteer in Civil Defence. Presently his duty is as DTC Bus Marshal. The accused lives with Tauseef Khan family in Shri Ram Colony of Khajuri Khas. Tauseef is also doing marshal’s duty apart from being a volunteer in civil defence. Both were identified while on duty in the bus. The woman is married.
It is alleged that on December 23, the accused told the victim that it was her birthday and wanted to throw her a party. After this, he fraudulently took the victim to his house. The woman told that there the accused carried out the incident by giving her intoxicating substance in food and drink.
On regaining consciousness, the victim protested and the accused threatened her. Later the victim informed the police about the matter. After investigation, the police took the statement of the victim and registered the case. The accused was also arrested. He has been sent to jail after being produced in the court.
