As soon as the winter season arrives, school children start thinking about winter vacation. This year too, there have been school holidays in many states. Due to which even children have come into fun mode. Let us know for how long the holiday will remain in which state.
If we talk about the country’s capital i.e. Delhi, the children here have got 15 days leave. Schools will remain closed in the capital from January 1 to January 15. Whereas classes will continue as usual from January 16. Whereas, if we talk about Jammu and Kashmir, holiday has been declared for class 5 from 10th December. Whereas schools for children up to class 12 were also closed on 16 December. All schools here will remain closed till 28th February.

If we talk about Uttar Pradesh, holidays have been announced for primary schools. All schools here will remain closed till January 14. Whereas private schools can open between 6th and 10th January. However, due to the outbreak of cold, these holidays may be extended. Which completely depends on the decision of the DM.

Holidays in these states
Talking about Rajasthan, holidays were declared here by the School Education Department. All government schools were closed from 25 December 2024. As of now schools have been closed till 05 January 2025. However, due to extreme cold the dates may be extended further. Holiday has been declared in all schools in Haryana. Schools in the state will now be opened from January 16.
Jharkhand government schools will be opened on 6 January 2025. At the same time, winter vacation has been declared in Madhya Pradesh from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025. However, due to cold in all the states, these holidays can be extended.
