At that time, people used to reach the cinema hall in tractors to watch this film of director Anil Sharma. After 23 years, Anil Sharma brings forward the story of Tara Singh and Sakina in this ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. The second installment of Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel’s film has been released in theaters today. In this story set in 1971 Lahore, Tara Singh goes alone to Pakistan and fights for his love. Years ago, this story was very much liked by the audience. Let’s see, even after 23 years, will this story of Tara Singh and Sakina be able to create ‘Gadar’? Let me tell through this review.

On the other hand, Major Hamid of Pakistan is sitting with poison in his heart for Tara Singh and wants to finish Tara Singh in any condition. The twist in Tara Singh’s life comes when once again his son gets trapped in Pakistan. Tara, who saved Sakina last time, will save his son Jeeta this time. Now to see how this happens, you will have to watch the film.

acting and direction
Talking about acting, Sunny Deol has once again dominated in the avatar of Tara Singh. Whether it is melting in front of Sakina or angry scenes, you will like Sunny Deol’s style. Ameesha Patel has nothing more to do than cry and blush. She is doing fine. This time Utkarsh Sharma has been given a lot of space in the film. Utkarsh has also looked fine in his style. Although he is engaged in a little overacting in many places. Manish Wadhwa has done the work of filling the gap of Amrish Puri. Wadhwa is dressed in the style of Major Hamid. They have been as fierce as they wanted to be.

what will work
The first half of the film is quite light and story enhancing. In the beginning, Nana Patekar’s voice is heard to tell the background of the characters, which is playing. If you have not seen ‘Gadar’ recently, then you will not need to watch it again to watch ‘Gadar 2’, because the entire story of the first story has been shown in the beginning. ‘Gadar 2’ will get full numbers of nostalgia. Whether it is the songs of ‘Gadar’ or glimpses of old characters, many memories of the old film will definitely be remembered. In the first half, the story becomes emotional with light. ‘Gadar 2’ is a full on masala entertainer film and all its strength lies in its dialogues. There are many dialogues in the film when applause and whistles will be played. In the climax of the film, the whole situation of ‘Hindustan Zindabad’ has been created and believe me, there must be someone in the entire theater who will definitely raise this slogan while watching this film.

what will not fit
The weakness of the film can be proved to be its length which drags on. The songs are too many and their length is also enough. Songs come every once in a while which spoil the pace of the story. This heaviness is felt more after the interval. There are many chase sequences in the second half, which start getting boring after a point. And yes, if after 23 years you are expecting too much logic behind the things happening in the film, then it is your fault, not the makers. One more thing, it is possible that after watching this film, you will lose faith in the power of guns, ammunition and bombs etc. It seems that all these are just to blow dust and put out the fire in the film. Because there is no one left with them after death.

The audience called Gadar 2 a super hit.

‘Gadar 2’ has come at a time when Hindi cinema is struggling with lack of audience. But ‘Gadar 2’ has made the theaters buzz again.
