A gangster of Rathi gang of Uttar Pradesh reached Kashmere Gate metro station with a pistol and cartridges in a bag. After this was revealed in the investigation of the X-ray machine, the CISF personnel took the accused into custody and handed him over to the police. During search, two pistols and ten cartridges were found in his bag. The accused was identified as Gyanendra Dhaka (40), resident of village Dhikoli Baghpat, UP. The Crime and Special Cell team is interrogating the accused after he was revealed to be a gangster.

The police officer said that a youth reached Kashmiri Gate metro station on Sunday evening. He had a bag. After reaching the metro station, he put his bag in the X-ray machine. The CISF personnel investigating found a pistol-like thing in the youth’s bag. He immediately took possession of the bag and took the young man into his custody. On searching the bag, two pistols and ten cartridges were found in it. After completing all the formalities, the CISF personnel handed over the youth to the Kashmiri Gate Metro Police Station.

During interrogation it was revealed that Gyanendra is a criminal and has been involved in gang war. A reward of Rs 25 thousand has been declared on him. Metro Police informed this to the Crime and Special Cell of Delhi Police. As soon as the information was received, both the teams reached Kashmiri Gate Metro Station and started interrogating the arrested Gyanendra. During interrogation, he told that two groups had formed in his village at the time of the election of Pradhan. Both had rivalry against each other. Pramod was murdered in the year 2000. Since then there is a gang war going on between the two groups. On October 28, he along with his associates killed Pradeep of the rival gang. Since then he has been continuously changing his location to avoid arrest.

Investigation revealed that about 35-40 cases were registered against the miscreant. Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on his arrest. During interrogation, the accused told that the recovered pistol belonged to the deceased Pramod. Which was given to him by a person named Pintu. During intensive interrogation, it was revealed that the accused is associated with Rathi gang and has been involved in many gang war cases. More than eight murder cases are registered against him. On Monday, the police presented him in the court and took him on remand for two days. Police is interrogating him and getting information.
