To be honest, seeing Alia Bhatt in the trailer, I felt that she is trying hard to get into this character. She also seemed to be overacting a bit, but in some scenes of the film, you start recognizing Gangu instead of Alia. Alia has completely become Gangubai. Her body language, her style, everything will be seen in the character of Gangubai. There are many actors like Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raj, Ajay Devgan, Shantanu Maheshwari in this film, but all in one part. All these actors work to strengthen Alia’s film even more. Special mention is for Seema Pahwa who is amazing in the character of Sheela Bai.
Ajay Devgan is in a small role but whenever he has an entry, it is quite grand. Alia’s one liners in the film are amazing. The speech given by Aaliya at Azad Maidan has been excellent. See, there is no story in the film, this whole film connects small steps of Ganga becoming Gangu and then Gangubai. Shantanu Maheshwari, who showed his dancing skills on the small screen, will now be seen acting on the big screen.
One problem with this film is that it is the story of a woman engaged in prostitution. In such a situation, the family audience hesitates a bit at first. Because you do not know to what extent things will be shown in the film. In such a situation, it is a problem to bring the audience to this film released in the cinema hall. However, the director has made this film with great precision and this is the reason that perhaps you will not need to lower your eyes or think in any scene.
