The Prime Minister launched more than 14 thousand projects worth more than Rs 10 lakh crore by pressing the button of the remote. Industries will change the picture of UP
In his address, the Prime Minister said that seven years ago we could not have even imagined that such an environment would be created in UP regarding investment and jobs. Earlier there used to be news of crimes, riots and snatchings everywhere. During that time, if someone had said that they will make UP developed, perhaps no one would have been ready to listen. Today investment worth lakhs of crores is coming into Uttar Pradesh. The Prime Minister said that today work is starting on thousands of projects in Uttar Pradesh. These industries are going to change the face of UP. In the last seven years, an atmosphere of red carpet culture has been created in Uttar Pradesh by ending the red tape culture. Not only has crime reduced in UP, but business culture has also expanded. In the last seven years, an environment of business, development and trust has been created in UP. There is optimism among all the investors who have come here.
The double engine government has shown that if there is a true intention of change then no one can stop it. Exports from UP have doubled in the last few years. UP is the state which has the highest number of expressways in the country. It has the highest number of international airports. The country’s first rapid rail is running here. A large network of Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors passes through UP. The river network is also being used for cargo ships. Transportation has become cheaper.
The whole world is considering India as a guarantee of better returns.
The Prime Minister said that unprecedented positivity about India is being seen all over the world. Referring to the visit to Qatar and UAE, PM Modi said that every country is confident and full of confidence about India’s development. The whole world is considering India as a guarantee of better returns. He said that it is often seen that when elections are near, people avoid new investments. But today even the thinking has broken in Uttar Pradesh. Investors around the world have full faith in the government’s policies and stability. This belief is visible in Lucknow.
The Prime Minister said that this change was not possible following the kind of thinking that had prevailed in the country for many decades since independence. The thinking of the then governments was to somehow provide livelihood to the citizens of the country. Keep them yearning for every basic facility. Earlier governments used to provide opportunities only in selected cities, due to which large parts of the country remained deprived of development. The double engine government has changed the old political thinking. We are engaged in making the life of every citizen easier. If life becomes easier, investing and doing business will also be easier.
