Glenn Maxwell on getting released by RCB: Royal Challengers Bengaluru had retained only three players for IPL 2025. RCB has again expressed confidence in Virat Kohli, Yash Dayal and Rajat Patidar for the next season. But Glenn Maxwell, who has been playing for RCB for the last four seasons, was released. Now Maxwell’s first reaction after being out of the Bengaluru team has come to light.
According to ESPN Cricinfo, Glenn Maxwell while talking about the exit meeting with the RCB management said, “Actually our exit meeting was very good. We kept talking for half an hour about what will be the next strategies of RCB and what will be the next for the team. If every team starts doing this, then perhaps the relationship between the players and the officials will be better than this.
Maxwell further said that RCB is also making major changes in its staff. He admitted that till the last date of release of the retention list, he was also surrounded by suspense whether he would be retained or not. The Australian legend understands very well that the Bengaluru team is trying to strengthen its base by retaining three Indian players.
my journey is not over yet
IPL 2024 was very unsuccessful for Glenn Maxwell, in which he could score only 52 runs in 10 matches. This poor performance also became the reason for his release. Regarding RCB, he said, “I would not say that my journey with RCB is over, I would definitely like to be a part of this franchise again. It is a good team and I enjoyed my time here a lot.”
