In which Black Bengal, Barbari, Beetle, Jamunapari and Sirohi are best for milk and meat production. People can increase milk production by rearing goats with less care and less expense.
This breed gives birth to children thrice in 2 years

Goat of Jamunapari breed is found in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh and in the valleys of Ganga, Yamuna and Chambal. Now people are following it in other states including Jharkhand also. The noses of goats of this breed are quite prominent and their ears are 10 to 12 inches long and hang down. Its body is cylindrical. Goats of this breed have very long and dense hair on the back side of their thighs. The average weight of an adult male is 70 to 90 kg and that of a female is 50 to 60 kg. Goats of this breed give an average of one and a half to 2 kilograms of milk per day. It gives birth to a child once a year and maximum goats give birth to only one child in one litter. Goats of this breed are used for breeding improvement of other small breed goats in our country.

Sirohi breed of goats is mainly found in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. These are found in the border areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Goats of this breed have long ears and the body hair is thick and short. The tail is bent and the tail hairs stand up. It gives birth to two babies in one litter every year. Goats of this breed are used for improving other small breeds. Goats of this breed are suitable for both milk and meat.
