Golden Temple Firing Incident: The most famous temple of Sikhism in India is in Amritsar, Punjab. Which is known as Golden Temple. Today i.e. on 4th December, former Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal was doing guard duty at the Golden Temple i.e. Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara.

Bullets fired in the Golden Temple

Today i.e. on 4th December, there was a fatal attack on former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhvir Singh Badal in the Golden Temple of Amritsar. At the time when this attack took place, Sukhbir Singh Badal was serving as a sevadar outside the Golden Temple i.e. Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara. He was sitting in a wheelchair at that time.

Just then the accused fired at them. The bullet went from next to Sukhbir Singh Badal and hit the wall. Former Punjab Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal’s life narrowly escaped in this firing incident. The people standing outside the Golden Temple immediately caught the accused who opened fire and handed him over to the police.

Many lives were lost in Operation Blue Star

Almost 39 years ago, i.e. in the year 1984, the Golden Temple of Amritsar was shaken. This important place associated with the beliefs of Sikhism had become a camp for terrorists. Many people lost their lives to eliminate that terrorist. In which Indian soldiers were also included. Khalistani supporter General Singh Bhindranwala and his associates had captured the Golden Temple of Amritsar.

Operation Blue Star was launched to liberate the Golden Temple from Bhindranwale. In Operation Blue Star, Indian Army soldiers killed Bhindranwale and during this, 80 shells were fired at the Golden Temple. 83 soldiers were also martyred in the entire operation, while 239 were injured, according to the data, a total of 493 people were killed in which Bhindranwala was also included.
