Prem Narayan, a resident of Nehela village in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh, told Local 18 Bihar that he has been running a Golgappa stall on the side of State Highway 55 in front of Cheriya Bariyarpur block for the last 8 years. In the masala of Golgappa, he adds 11 items including coriander leaves, mint, jaljeera, chilli powder. After this, it is mixed with potato masala and fed to people. He told that the people of Bihar like the taste of Golgappa of MP more. This is the reason why he has been making people taste Golgappa in Begusarai for the last 8 years.
It takes 4 hours to prepare Golgappa
Prem Narayan says that he spends 4 hours in the morning to prepare Golgappa. In this four hours he makes 1200 Golgappa. Along with this, its spices are prepared by boiling black salt, cumin, coriander, fennel, dry ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, chilli powder, tamarind water, lemon, onion, jaljeera, coriander leaves and potatoes. After this they go to set up their stall. They serve 6 golgappas for 10 rupees. By selling 1200 pieces of golgappa daily, he earns up to Rs 2 thousand. Customers Kamal Kishore Rai and Dhruv Kumar etc. say that they pass through this route every day and stop here and eat Golgappa worth Rs 50.
