Google Trained 10,000 Indian Startups: The world’s leading tech company Google will train 10,000 Indian startups in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector. This was announced at the Google I/O Connect 2024 event held in Bengaluru. Google will train these 10,000 Indian startups in collaboration with MeitY Startup Hub.
This plan of Google is included in the plan to increase AI power in India. Currently, Google is focusing on three areas in India, which include multimodal, multilingual and mobile AI. The company has claimed about its new Gemini AI Chatbot that more than 1.5 million developers are using it worldwide, in which the number of developers present in India is also quite good.
Google will train 10,000 Indian startups
Google will work with MeitY of the Government of India to train Indian startups in AI. Apart from this, eligible startups will get up to $350,000 as Google Cloud credit.
This will enable startups to invest in cloud infrastructure and computational power. Apart from this, Google is offering new programs to promote AI, in which it will provide training in AI first programming and Startup School and AppScale Academy.
Google launched innovation program in India
Google is launching many AI innovation programs in India. One of these is the Gen AI Hackathon program, in collaboration with MeitY Startup, in which Indian startups will get a 3-month immersive experience. All these things will help in avoiding challenges like healthcare, climate change, agriculture and cyber security.
Google’s plans for AI in India
To give a better experience to Indian developers, Google is collecting local languages spoken in the country through Project ‘Vaani’. Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is helping Google in this. So far, data of 58 languages has been collected. Apart from this, work is also going on to increase AI in the agriculture sector.
