Google is now firing robots after humans. According to reports, Google’s parent company Alphabet has closed one of its experimental departments in which robots were kept for everyday work.
The company has told the reason behind this is lack of money. Alphabet started the Robotics Project, which had more than 200 people working on more than 100 robots. These robots were kept for office cafeteria, dustbin cleaning and other work. During the Corona period, the company had also done cleaning of the conference room and other tasks through these robots.
reason is high cost
Alphabet told that the cost of robots was very high. Also, the company was spending a lot of money on the experts managing the robot. Because the company’s expenses were high and earnings were decreasing, because of this, Alphabet has fired these robots by ending the robotics project. Although some of these robots have been kept by the company for the Google research team.
On one hand, where the world is becoming dependent on technology and robots, on the other hand, the removal of robots from the job tells how big companies are going through economic recession. Even though Alphabet has fired some robots, but robots are going to play an important role in the industry in the coming times.
