Internal Storage Bug in Pixel: Many users of Google Pixel smartphones are facing problems related to storage management after installing the Google Play system update received in January. Actually, users are not able to access the internal storage and this issue is causing many problems like app crash, files app appearing empty, screenshot not being saved etc. Troubled Pixel users said that this problem is exactly like the problem that occurred in the month of October last year. Even then the device was facing similar problems. Problems related to storage management are occurring in Google’s Pixel 5, Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8 and Pixel Fold series.
Users are in trouble
A user on Reddit wrote that after implementing the January 2024 Google Play system update, the internal storage access issue that occurred in October 2023 is occurring again. The user said that the problems are exactly the same, internal storage is not being mounted, camera is crashing, no files are showing in the files app and screenshots are also not being saved.
Another user wrote that yesterday morning my Pixel 7 stopped reading its internal storage and all the functionalities related to active and passive storage usage are not working. The user told that his WhatsApp chat is working, but photos or videos are not downloading. Also the camera is not working, music files, images, videos, files and even alarm is not working. Apart from this, Maps, Instagram, YouTube and Reddit are also not working properly.

On this problem, Google told 9to5 Google that the company is aware of this problem and work is being done on it. Let us tell you, the company did not release the Google Play update for all the users in January, hence only a few users are facing this problem, this is not the case with everyone.
