Google has clearly written in its blog post that these apps have been given more than three years to prepare, in which three weeks have passed even after the order of the Supreme Court. Google had released this blog post just before removing these apps from the Google Play Store. Google wrote in it that, “We are taking some necessary steps to ensure that our policies are consistently applied across the entire system, as we do globally for any type of policy violation.”

Now Google has removed 10 Indian apps from the Android Play Store due to this decision, including Kuku FM, Bharat Matrimony, Shaadi.com, Naukri.com, 99 acres, Truly Madly, Quack Quack, Stage, ALTT (Alt Balaji). Name included.

After this action of Google, Kuku FM CEO Lal Chand Bisu criticized Google and wrote on social media platform X, “Google is the worst company to do business. They completely control our Indian startup system. In 2019, Google removed us from the Play Store for 25 days without giving any notice. Just imagine the environment where the team is working in the office every day and there is no app on the Play Store.”

He further wrote in his post, “Now they have delisted us again. Now we have no option but to accept their terms. Court also supported Google

Let us tell you that these apps had also approached the court raising their voice against Google, so that they are not removed from the Play Store by Google. These Indian app developers had earlier filed a petition in the Madras High Court challenging the billing policy of Google Play Store, but the court rejected that petition. After that, these apps appealed to the Supreme Court, but in the hearing held on 9 February 2024, the Supreme Court also refused to pass an interim order to save these apps on the Play Store and declared the next hearing for 19 March. .
