Google Chrome : Tech giant Google has decided to keep third party cookies in the Chrome browser. According to the company, they will add a feature to Chrome that will give the user an informed option while browsing. Along with this, the user will be able to adjust that option at any time. Users are surprised by this decision of Google. Because Google was working on a plan to remove cookies from Chrome for a long time. Not only this, since 2019, the Alphabet unit has been working on the Privacy Sandbox initiative, whose main goal is to phase out third-party cookies.
Why did Google take this decision?
According to the information, advertisers would have suffered a lot due to the removal of cookies from Chrome. This would have also affected Google because Google earns the most through advertising. The company says that by removing cookies from Chrome, advertisers will have trouble getting information from personalized ads, due to which all of them will become dependent on Google’s user database.
