Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai held a high-level meeting with officials on Tuesday. In the meeting, instructions were given to take all necessary measures to deal with pollution. He said that on the orders of CAQM, Grape-2 has been implemented in Delhi. The minister has written a letter to the governments of the states adjacent to Delhi, requesting that as long as the pollution level in Delhi remains high, they should send only CNG and electric buses in place of their diesel buses.

Gopal Rai said that government departments, private agencies, construction sites and resident welfare associations have been directed to provide electric heaters to the security staff as required, so that they do not burn biomass in the open during winter.
