A family was attacked with acid over a dispute over building a temple in Gopalganj. Ritesh Puri and Manish Puri, who were burnt by acid, were admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment, from where after first aid, the doctors referred them to the Medical College, Gorakhpur for better treatment. There is tension between both the sides after the incident.
The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Kaptan Sah. Meanwhile, the police have arrested five accused in this case. In view of the tense situation in the village, the police team is camped. It is said that the deceased Captain Sah was building the temple of Bajrang Bali in Machhagar village. Neighbor and ward member Nirbhay Puri was opposing this. Even before this, there was a dispute regarding construction of temple on the day of Diwali.
Referred to Gorakhpur for better treatment
It is said that on Monday night the neighbors attacked him with acid, due to which Captain Sah died on the spot. Meanwhile, Manish Puri and Ritesh Puri from the other side were seriously injured in the acid attack. Both were brought from Hathua Sub-Divisional Hospital to Sadar Hospital, where doctor Dr. Rahul Ranjan, after first aid, referred both of them to Medical College Gorakhpur for better treatment. There is a situation of tension in the entire village. Police forces have been deployed in the village.
