A small lapse of ATS had given Gorakhpur police sleepless nights for 24 hours. Prasun, a Chandauli businessman, was picked up and taken to the ATS, but this was not informed to any officer of the Gorakhpur police. The result of this was that the police kept on investigating considering it to be a kidnapping. After a lot of investigation, on Friday afternoon, when the Gorakhpur police confirmed that the ATS had taken him, then the SSP contacted the ATS and breathed a sigh of relief after the confirmation.
Usually, when the police comes from outside or the ATS comes, the police are informed. One of the major reasons for this is that if any untoward incident happens with the team, the local police can reach the spot immediately. However, this has not been done in this entire case. Due to which the police was upset.
According to the information, the ATS inquired once on Thursday afternoon and then left for Lucknow at 4.30 pm along with the businessman. The family was not informed, the police also remained oblivious. The SSP had also constituted a team under the leadership of SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi in the high profile case. After the investigation by the team of SP City, the entire matter was revealed and the truth came out.
Such an open case, the constable identified
The news of the kidnapping of the businessman had made even the top officials restless. Security was under question. Police was engaged in investigation with the help of CCTV footage and CDR. Meanwhile, a constable of Crime Branch recognized a constable entering the hotel. In fact, the same constable had also come at the time of arrest of Murtaza who attacked the policemen in Gorakhnath temple. After that the constable spoke about the ATS, the officers contacted the ATS and the whole matter has come to the fore.
