Multinational company PepsiCo is going to set up its plant to give new wings of development to Gorakshanagiri. A bottling plant will be set up in Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) by investing Rs 1071.28 crore on behalf of Varun Beverages. This will provide direct and indirect employment to more than 11000 people.
GIDA has allotted 50 acres of land to the company for this. Work on this has also been started by the company. This will be PepsiCo’s second largest plant in the country. At the same time, this will be the company’s 37th plant in the country and seventh in Uttar Pradesh.

The company’s executive director and CEO Kamlesh Jain said that the demand for 60 acres of land was made from Gida. GIDA has made available 50 acres of land at Narkataha village in the Industrial Corridor along the Gorakhpur Link Expressway. This investment will directly provide employment to 1500 people.
And indirectly around 10,000 people will be benefited. Told that all the beverages products of PepsiCo Company will be manufactured in this plant. The plant will be fully ready by the end of this year. The plant will produce carbonated soft drinks such as Pepsi, Seven Up, Mountain Dew, Mirinda, Tropicana Fruit Juice, Aquafina Water etc. Along with this, milk based drinks, value added dairy products, and bottles for drinks will be produced.
