Ingredients to make Lauki ki Kheer
Grated Bottle Gourd – 1 cup
Milk – 2 cups
Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Chopped dry fruits – 1 tbsp
Desi ghee – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1/2 cup

How to make Lauki Kheer
To make Lauki Kheer, first peel the bottle gourd and then grate it and keep it aside in a bowl. Now pour milk in a deep bottom vessel and keep it on medium flame to heat. When the milk starts boiling once or twice, turn off the gas. Now put 1 spoon of desi ghee in a pan and heat it. After the ghee melts, add grated bottle gourd to it and cook until the bottle gourd becomes soft.

When the gourd becomes soft properly, add warm milk to it and mix with the help of a spoon and let it cook on low flame. Keep stirring the kheer from time to time with the help of a big spoon. The kheer has to be cooked until the milk thickens properly. After this add sugar and cardamom powder as per taste to the milk and mix it well. After this add chopped dry fruits and mix.

Now let the kheer cook for 3-4 minutes, in this time the sugar will get mixed well with the kheer. After this, turn off the gas and take out the kheer in a big serving bowl. Garnish dry fruits on top of gourd kheer. Tasty Lauki ki Kheer is completely ready to serve.
