If you are a farmer of Rajasthan, then the good news for you is that the Rajasthan government has started a scheme to install solar pumps for the farmers of 4 districts of the state. These four districts are Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Anupgarh. Under the scheme, farmers are being given a discount of up to 60 percent by the government for installing pumps. This work is being done for the benefit of farmers under the Indira Gandhi Canal Project.
According to Rajasthan Agriculture Department, Rajasthan Water Sector will install about 5 thousand off-grid solar pump plants of 3, 5 and 7.5 HP for farmers under the Re-structuring Project in the command area of the first phase of Indira Gandhi Canal Project.

The benefit of this scheme, run through the Water Resources Department, will be given to the farmers in the command area of the first phase of Indira Gandhi Canal Project by giving 60% subsidy subsidy. The remaining 40% amount will be given by the concerned farmers. Bank loans up to 30% of the amount are also being given to the farmers for the costs borne by the farmers. For this, the company has signed a pact with Rotomag Motors and Control Pvt. Ltd. He said that soon the work of installing pumps on the agricultural land of eligible farmers will start.
The scheme is under the Water Resources Department. The cost of pumps in the RWSRPD project will be less than the PM Kusum scheme run by the Horticulture Department. Among the 12 types of pumps included in this scheme, farmers will get the pump installed as per their need.
