Govinda got upset with this statement of David
A few years ago, Govinda had come to Rajat Sharma’s show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. Then he was questioned about not talking to David Dhawan. Rajat Sharma had told Govinda that you and David Dhawan have worked together in 17 films. Each film was a superhit. You mentioned ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’, ‘Bade Miyan Aur Chote Miyan’, ‘Partner’.
Further Rajat Sharma said that, but you have not even talked to him for many years. On this Govinda told that, when my secretary was with him (David Dhawan), I told him to keep the phone on when he (David Dhawan) is saying something. I would like to hear what he says. Now Govinda and David have patched up
In an interview given to Bombay Times in 2023, Govinda had told that the rift between him and David is over. Govinda had said, ‘I am happy that people still feel that we should work together. This is their love. We have patched up. This was our second meeting. We spent a good time together at a Diwali party. We do not believe in dragging the past. We have resolved our grievances. However, talking about films was not our priority in this meeting, we only talked about our good memories.’
