Sunita Ahuja Converted To Christianity: Be it Bollywood or TV industry, many actors and actresses have changed their religion for various reasons. But today we are telling you about the wife of a superstar who changed her religion not for love, not for family, but for wine. She converted from Hindu to Christian in her childhood and her parents were not even aware of this.
This is none other than superstar Govinda’s wife Sunita. While talking on the Timeout with Ankit podcast, Sunita confessed to her religious conversion. She even admitted that she still follows Christianity and goes to church every week.
Changed religion to drink wine
Sunita said- ‘I was born in Bandra. I have been baptized. I was in a Christian school and all my friends were Christians. As a child, I had heard that the blood of Jesus is wine and I thought wine means alcohol. I was always very clever. There is nothing wrong in drinking alcohol, right? Just to drink some alcohol, I converted myself to Christianity.’
Parents had no clue
Sunita further said, ‘I follow Christianity, I go to church every Saturday.’ During this, when she was asked if her parents had any problem with her decision to change her religion, she said that they never came to know about it.
Let us tell you that Govinda and Sunita got married in the year 1987. The couple has two children – Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan with whom they are living a happy life.
