There is news of relief for 12 colleges affiliated to Delhi University and 100% funded by the Delhi government. The Delhi government has released grants for these 12 colleges. The government has released around Rs 100 crore while budget allocation of Rs 400 crore has been made for the financial year 2023-24. With the release of this grant, salaries will be released to the teaching and non-teaching staff of colleges who have been waiting for a long time. The government is increasing the fund of these 12 colleges every year to provide better education to the students.

Education Minister Atishi said in a press conference that the Delhi government has allocated a budget of Rs 400 crore for these 12 colleges in the financial year 2023-24 and today Rs 100 crore has been released for its first quarter. He said that after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi, the budget given to these colleges has increased by more than 300 percent.

There are many Delhi government universities including Ambedkar University, DTU, NSUT, DSEU. Apart from this, Delhi University also has 12 colleges which are 100 per cent funded. These colleges play an important role because most of these colleges work as women’s colleges in the rural areas of Delhi to educate girls.

East Campus of IP University is ready

The East Campus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is being built by the Delhi government at Surajmal Vihar in East Delhi. This campus is almost ready. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate this campus in May. More than 2400 students will get world class education in the new campus. On Thursday, Education Minister Atishi inspected this campus along with the officials. He said that education is one of the priorities of the Delhi government.

In this direction, Delhi Government has got the East Campus of IP University constructed. This campus is almost ready. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate it in May and dedicate it to the nation. Here students will get world class education. He said that keeping in mind the needs of the market, five specialized centers including Robotics and Automation, Design and Innovation, Fire Management, Liberal Arts are being set up here.
