In fact, in verse number 21 of Surah Insan of the Quran, the most sacred book of Islam, Allah has described the dress of the people of heaven as green. Apart from this, it has been written in the book of collection of Hadiths – Sunan Abu Dawood: Hazrat Abu Ramsa (Razi) narrates that when I went to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with my father, I saw two green striped sheets on him (Prophet Muhammad).

In fact, Masjid-e-Nabawi, also known as “Nabi ki Masjid”, is the second holiest mosque in Islam. It is located in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. It is said that this holy mosque was established by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself. This mosque is a very important religious place for the followers of Islam.

According to a BBC report, this is the first mosque in the world whose dome was painted green. However, when this mosque was built, its dome had no color. But in 1228 Hijri, on the orders of Sultan Mohammed II, the dome of this mosque was painted green.

According to Islamic religious beliefs, green colour is considered sacred, apart from this science also has some logic regarding green colour. Let us know this now. Actually, green colour falls between the wavelength of 520-570 nanometres in the visual spectrum. This wavelength is considered most suitable for human eyes. Apart from this, green light is absorbed in maximum amount, due to which the eyes feel less strain.
