The SIB team of the State Tax Department raided three firms related to oil trading and marketing services located in Kelbagh, Bareilly on the information of tax evasion. The owners of the three firms are brothers and sisters. Tax evasion of Rs 1.20 crore has been detected in the investigation. Rs 11.60 lakh was deposited on the spot.
According to State Tax Additional Commissioner Grade-1 HP Rao Dixit, three different firms named Planetox, Zeal & Zest, Nudox were being operated. Found accommodation where it was mentioned as workplace. The owners and directors of all three firms were found to be brothers and sisters. Prepared separate investigation reports of firms’ business and tax evasion. Planetox is a registered firm for trading of fuel, hydrocarbon oil etc.
In the years 23-24 and 24-25, fake purchases worth about Rs 5 crore were seen from fake and canceled firms of Gujarat and Maharashtra. Also supplied for marketing service. But tax was not deposited in respect of the business done. No stock of the firm was found on the spot. Preliminary investigation found tax evasion of Rs 90 lakh. In relation to this, Rs 3.60 lakh was deposited in the government treasury. The team returned with many documents for detailed investigation.
