Gyanvapi Mosque Case: The ASI survey report of Gyanvapi Masjid complex has been handed over to the Hindu and Muslim sides. A copy of this report has been given to Hindu side’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain and Muslim side’s lawyer Akhlakh Ahmed. Sources claim that the survey report has revealed that remains of an already existing temple have been found in the Gyanvapi Mosque.
Citing the survey report of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), sources told ABP News that in the mosque complex, there are Swastika marks, snake god marks, lotus flower marks, bell marks, Om written marks, fragmented statues and temples. Remains of broken pillars have been found.
According to the information received by ABP News from sources, the survey report has been prepared in 92 days on the basis of evidence obtained from photos, videos, 3D images and chemical processes. The survey team had examined each and every place in detail except the toilet. In fact, the District Court of Varanasi on Wednesday (January 24) ordered the survey report of Gyanvapi to be handed over to all the parties. A total of 11 people from Hindu and Muslim sides had applied to get a copy of the survey report.
Claim of Hindu side’s lawyer
According to the report of news agency ANI, citing the 839-page survey report of ASI, Hindu side’s lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain claimed that the Gyanvapi Mosque is built on the remains of the temple already present there. He claimed, “This mosque has been built by reusing the inscriptions of what was previously a Hindu temple. Inscriptions have been found in Devanagari, Granth, Telugu and Kannada scripts. These inscriptions depict the three deities of Janardana, Rudra and Umeshwara. Let’s meet the names.
What argument was given in the court?
Hindu side’s advocate Madan Mohan Yadav had told on Wednesday that District Court Justice AK Vishwesh has said in his order that the survey report of Gyanvapi complex should be handed over to all the parties. During this time, the Muslim side had demanded that the report of the survey should remain with the parties only and should not be made public. On this, the judge said that all the parties should get the survey report by submitting an affidavit in the court not to make the report public.
Let us tell you that ASI had conducted a scientific survey of the Gyanvapi complex located next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Then on December 18, he gave his report in a sealed envelope to the district court.
