‘Hamare Baarah’ Film Review: Annu Kapoor’s ‘Hamare Baarah’ forces you to think

Bollywood veteran Annu Kapoor has come up with a great film, named ‘Humare Barah’. This film was in controversy for the last few days due to its subject. The matter had reached the court. There was a demand to ban the release of the film, but the court did not find anything in this film due to which it could ban it. Finally the court allowed the release of this film and today this film has been released across the country.

The film is really great, in which many issues related to women have been shown. In the film, Annu Kapoor is playing the role of an old Qawwal, who has a conservative mindset and has a total of 11 children and is preparing for the 12th child. The story of the film is about a single family. His second wife has already given birth to 5 children, in such a situation the doctor has advised him not to have a sixth child, if he does so then his wife’s life can be in danger, but the Qawwal, who has a conservative mindset, is not at all ready to get his wife’s abortion done. He believes that children are a gift from God.

The story of ‘Humare Barah’ begins from Aminabad in Lucknow, where Qawwal’s elder daughter Alfia is not at all happy with her father’s decision and she files a case in the Lucknow High Court to save her stepmother. Alfia is the daughter of Qawwal’s first wife, who is seen fighting for his second wife. When Alfia reaches the court to file a case against her father, no one is ready to fight her case, and finally she meets a female lawyer who is known to fight for rights, not for money. Will Qawwal’s second wife give birth to her sixth child? Will Qawwal’s daughter be able to win the case in court? To get the answers to these questions, you will have to go to the cinema and watch the entire film.

Now if we talk about acting, Annu Kapoor will once again win your heart with his brilliant acting. Apart from him, Manoj Joshi, Ashwini Kalsekar, Paritosh Tripathi, Rahul Bagga, Parth Samthan have also been seen doing justice to their characters. No character in the film will make you feel that he is overacting. However, there are some flaws in the film. The first part of the film will keep you engaged, but the second half is a bit slow, due to which you can definitely get bored. Also, editing and cinematography also seem a bit weak, but director Kamal Chandra has shown his artistry well with such a good subject in a low budget.

Overall, you will definitely want to watch this film once. One special thing about the film is Annu Kapoor’s voice. Yes, Annu Kapoor has also contributed to the music of this film and what a wonderful voice he has. You will be thrilled to hear the qawwali in his voice. Talking about ratings, I give 3 stars to the film ‘Humare Barah’.
