After the video of ganja sale and gambling den in Hamirpur district went viral on social media, the SP has taken strict action. SP Dr. Diksha Sharma has suspended two inspectors and three constables for negligence. At the same time, action has been taken against the woman selling ganja and the buyer under the Narcotics Act.
Recently, a video of ganja sale was going viral in Maudha town. In the second case, more than six gamblers were seen betting on win or loss in a gambling den on the banks of river Yamuna in Bhilavan area of the headquarters. The video of this also went viral. SP said that after investigating both the videos, Maudha’s Halka Incharge Daroga Haridwar Prasad and beat constable Premshankar Pandey have been suspended.
In the gambling den case, Bhilawan’s Halka Incharge Shahjahan Ali, constable Narendra and Shamshad have been suspended. Maudha Kotwali Incharge Ramasare Saroj said that a woman named Maya was selling ganja in a kiosk near the town of Fattepur. Praveen, who bought ganja in the video, has been arrested. 450 grams of ganja has been recovered from Maya. Action has been taken against both of them under the Narcotics Act.
