Deepak Dobriyal was born on 1 September 1975 in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. His father is from Rithakhal and Satpuli village near Kabra village. Later his family came to Delhi when Deepak was 5 years old. Deepak did his schooling from a government school. Let us tell you the story of his struggle.
Deepak Dobriyal’s struggle in the film industry
In 1994, Deepak came to Mumbai where the struggle was huge. According to media reports, Deepak Dobriyal came to Mumbai with just Rs 7,000. Where many people used to live in a single room. Deepak struggled here for 4 years during which he spent all his money on food, accommodation and transport long ago. Later, he got small roles which helped him to get by but Deepak was not satisfied with these roles.
Deepak Dobriyal told in an interview that once a friend of his lured him with chowmein and took him to an audition. Here Deepak gave the audition lured by the chowmein and he got selected. That film was Maqbool (2003) in which Irrfan Khan was also there. After this Deepak did many films but he got recognition from Vishal Bhardwaj’s film Omkara (2006).

Deepak Dobriyal has worked in films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, ‘Chhatri Chor’, ‘Lucknow Central’, ‘Dabangg 2’, ‘Bhola’, ‘Bhediya’, ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Delhi 6’, ‘Kamyaab’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, ‘Angrezi Medium’, ‘Aafat-e-Ishq’ and ‘Right or Left’. Deepak’s upcoming film is ‘Sector 36’ in which he is with Vikrant Massey and this film will be released on Netflix on September 13.
