Road accident in Hardoi

DCM trampled three people who were going home on bicycle after working in a cold storage in Sandila in Hardoi district. Two died on the spot while the third has been referred to Lucknow in critical condition. Rajendra (45), resident of Bahadur Kheda of Sandila Kotwali area, used to work as a laborer in a cold store located on Unnao Marg in Sandila Kotwali area. Rajendra (45) and Kalika (42), residents of Malaiya of Sandila Kotwali area, also used to work as laborers in the same cold store.
After working as laborers on Sunday, all three were returning home on their bicycles at around 10:15 pm. Meanwhile, a speeding DCM coming from Sandila on Unnao Road crushed all three cyclists and overturned on them. On getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and rescued Rajendra, Kalika and Rajendra, who were buried under the DCM, and took them to the Community Health Center, Sandila.
Here Rajendra and Kalika, residents of Bahadurkheda, were declared dead while Rajendra, resident of Malaiya, has been referred to Lucknow Trauma Center in critical condition. The driver fled from the spot after the incident. Inspector in-charge Vijendra Singh said that the families of the deceased have been informed. Information is being sought about the DCM driver.
