Debuted as a child artist at the age of 4
Harish Kumar was born on 1 August 1975 in Hyderabad. He entered films as a child artist at the age of just four years. The actor worked in 19 films as a child artist from 1979 to 1987. After this, he appeared in films as a lead actor.
Did South debut before Bollywood
Before Bollywood, Harish debuted as a lead actor in South cinema. His first film was ‘Prema Khaidi’. Producer D. Ramanaidu’s film was a box office success and won the hearts of the audience.
Made Bollywood debut with Karisma at the age of 15
Harish Kumar, who created a sensation with his first film in South, won the hearts of the audience with his first film in Bollywood too. The producer who made ‘Prema Khaidi’ made a film with the same name in Hindi, ‘Prem Qaidi’. Karisma Kapoor worked with him in this film which was released in 1991. This was Karisma’s debut film too. At that time, Karisma was 16 while Harish was only 15 years old.
This accident ruined his career
Harish had worked in many films including ‘Coolie No. 1’ and ‘Tiranga’. After the 2001 film ‘Inteqam’, he started moving away from Bollywood. According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, Harish’s continuous weight gain started becoming an obstacle in his career. Due to obesity, his look started changing and he was not even able to get work.
Other reports also claim that he started having pain in his spine due to which it became difficult for him to even sit or stand. Let us tell you that Harish has been away from Bollywood for a long time. Harish made a comeback in 2012 with the film ‘Char Din Ki Chandni’. But the film was a flop.
