Haryana Corona Cases: On Tuesday, 19 active cases of coronavirus have been registered in Haryana. Meanwhile, the Union health ministry has issued an alert and asked states to track positive samples and ramp up genome sequencing of all new cases on a daily basis. Haryana Health Department officials said that they will follow the instructions and are monitoring and tracking the positive samples across the state.
On an average, the state is conducting 3,500-4,000 tests per day to screen for suspected Covid-19 infection in symptomatic patients. According to the Kovid-19 bulletin released by the state health department on Tuesday evening, there were 19 active cases in the state. At the same time, out of 3,745 samples tested in the last 24 hours, seven positive patients have been detected. The total number of people infected with Kovid-19 in Haryana is 10,56,576. So far 10,714 patients have died in the state. The coverage of Covid-19 vaccination (1st dose) in Haryana is 100 per cent, while it is around 88 per cent for the second dose.
There were 340 active patients in Haryana on 20 September
Till December 19, 19,49,257 people have been given Kovid-19 preventive dose in Haryana. The fatality rate in the state was 1.01 percent, while the recovery rate was 98.98 percent and the daily positivity rate (as on December 19, 2022) in the state was recorded at 0.25 percent. Health department officials said they were following a strategy of testing suspected cases, treating them on priority and tracing contacts of patients who tested positive. Officials said that the state was fully prepared to effectively meet the surge in cases, if required. Three months ago, on September 20, there were 340 active Kovid-19 patients in the state. Data has shown that in the last three months, 2,135 new cases of infection have been reported in the state and 15 patients have died.
