The Tata Magic, which met with an accident in Hathras, had a capacity of eight passengers, but at the time of the accident, it was carrying 20 passengers. If we talk about total passengers, there were 21 people including the driver. The situation was such that there were passengers on the driver’s seat also. In such a situation, even the driver was not getting enough space to sit. Eyewitnesses say that the speed was also high. Actually, these passenger carriers running from Hathras to Sikandrarau run with Tata Magic Number. They drive the vehicles at indiscriminate speed to avoid the second Tata Magic reaching there first. Accidents are happening due to this.
