In village Jind Patti Bisana of Thana Chandpa area in Hathras, on Monday afternoon, the wire of the high tension line broke and fell on two children, due to which both the children were scorched. Both were brought to Sadabad Community Health Center for treatment. From where he was referred to Agra in critical condition. After the incident, angry villagers blocked Agra Aligarh NH. The police officers got the jam opened by convincing the villagers.
In Jind Patti Bisana village of the area, 9-year-old Ashish son Pancham Singh and 12-year-old Jigar son Udayveer Singh were going on a bicycle from their home to collect goods from a shop located in the village. Then suddenly the wire of the high tension line, which was swinging in a dilapidated condition, broke and fell on both the children. Due to this both the children got burnt. Seeing the condition of the children, the villagers gathered on the spot. Angered by the incident, the villagers blocked the Agra-Aligarh National Highway. The villagers allege that the electricity department has been informed several times about the dilapidated wires. Incidents of breaking of wires keep happening, but the electricity department has not taken any cognizance till date. As a result of which this incident has happened with the children.
As soon as the information about the jam was received, the police force of many police stations along with May CO Sadabad Gopal Singh reached the spot. The police officers got the jam opened within a short time after persuading the villagers. Earlier, the injured were taken to Community Health Center Sadabad for treatment. After giving first aid from there, he was referred to Agra in a critical condition. SDM Sadar and officials of the Electricity Department also reached the spot to inquire about the incident and assured the villagers to repair the power line. Late in the evening, the employees of the electricity department were engaged in repairing the broken high tension line.
