The team of Excise Department raided the cold storage on Agra Road and caught a young man with 240 pavs of English liquor in five boxes. Meanwhile, the team was attacked by the employees of the cold room and the youth who was caught was taken away. In this case, the Excise Inspector has filed a case against 25-30 unknowns, including the nominated residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
Excise Inspector Achhelal Mishra said that Bodhraj’s son Hansraj, a resident of Billawar Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir, was arrested in illegal liquor business. On February 5, taking him along with Excise Inspector Achhelal, Excise Inspector Kshitij Kumar, Kuldeep Singh Chauhan and team reached to raid the RM cold storage located at Bohra’s Bas Burj on Agra-Aligarh road.
Sanju s/o Prakash Chand, a resident of Billawar Kathua Dhanu Road, Jammu and Kashmir, was caught from the room on the first floor of the cold storage at the instance of the accused Bodhraj. About 240 bottles of English liquor in five plastic boxes were recovered from him.
During interrogation, he told that liquor was being transported for sale in Rajasthan. He could not produce the license and documents related to liquor. The Excise team took out some pavs of liquor as samples. Meanwhile, the employees of the cold storage attacked the excise team.
While fighting, the accused escaped after rescuing Sanju from the excise team. In the case, case has been registered against accused Sanju Sanju S/o Prakash Chand resident of Dhanu Road Billawar Kathua Jammu and Kashmir and 25-30 unknown persons.
